A light fades from the world.I got a call last Friday morning, one of those calls you hope never to get, but knowing that you eventually do. My grandma passed away, and I just came back from the funeral. She leaves behind 7 children and more than 10 grandchildren. Even some great-grandchildren.

She was the core of our family, and it's hard to imagine life without her. But after seeing our family come together again, seeing every one of my loved ones grieve and remember this woman who gave so much of herself to us, I'm at peace. Because I know that her legacy lives on in all of us. The values and motivations she instilled in us will not disappear.

Still, I will miss her.
