(*) some of the interns and temps take it personally to the point of 'what the fuck is wrong with you?' (stop crying, jesus that won't make me want to remember your name) if I forget their names or mix them up. We have anywhere from 15-30 temps rotating in and out of our division on a bi-weekly basis. And over a 100 interns for a 3 months period. Suck it up cupcake I'm not here to pander to your vanity you're here to pander to mine

(**) true story. my misguided attempts at being friendly with either sex leads to awkward conversations more often then not. If I'm comfortable with you--I'm comfortable with you. My attitude is the same across the board with those I am comfortable with whether we are snogging or not. The few occasions I have flirted usually involve animated discussions about how Babylonian and Sumerian mythology is so similar, but the vast difference in interpretation. (true story, its how me and AB fell into a make out session--he's the first attractive, young, straight male guy I had ever met who understood where I was coming from. I was apparently the first non-academic who enjoyed researching mythology for fun).
