Inverse Law of Journalism...I have this weird thing of making journals when nothing is going on. But when I go somewhere or do something journal worthy then I never seem to make it. Since March I have:
~Gone to a convention in Albany. ~Flew to Orlando FL for a wedding and a beautiful weekend at an amazing resort. ~Went to see Lindsay Stirling live in concert. ~Drove to Boston MA to attend PAX East with some of my favorite people in the whole world. ~Last weekend I rode up to Maine to go see my brother graduate from the Maine Maritime Academy Officer Program with a two year Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering and became an Ensign in the US Navy. As well as see my Goddaughter for the first time in over a year.
Most of these things (with the exception of the Maine trip) took place within a week of one another and I have a pic or two for.
The main problem I have is that journals which I spend hours on get no love or attention. So after two or three years of PAX East summaries I've just decided to not really elaborate on things anymore. But I think I'll try and do one big journal with a few pictures of each event to highlight a timeline of the last 3 months to see if I can get it all at least on record.
It's easy to forget that it's called a "Journal" for a reason, because this site isn't meant to be a popularity contest. And I think as long as the friends who I really want to see, and who I want to share things with, will enjoy this.
Or am I being a little too ambitious? I don't know. I'm just gonna be me and whatever happens, happens and whoever cares, cares.
*ring ring* "Hello?" "Move out of the way! The breaks are cut and there's no stopping this hype train!!!" I'm gonna freaking die before May 21st... this anticipation is killing me x_x PS: @Panacamanana, where do you keep finding all this stuff before I can?!

Issues...Alright so this isn't something I normally do because most people don't consider me a vocal or reliable source for music. Normally I'd just suggest music I enjoy to a few friends to try and spread it for discussion. But lately those people have stopped returning feedback and just kind of ignore it. and seeing as though this is technically my journal, i'm going to post my feelings here.
And yes I know i'll be hitting a very small percentage of anyone who'll see this. Mostly I'm aiming for @Visceral and @Newbs, being my metal/ hardcore links in this world. (And by the way, I put up this album for you both over a month ago. Then tore it down, then put it back up not that long ago.) So if you aren't in the mood for music then skip right over this.
Issues - Black Diamonds
This EP has consumed the last 6 weeks of my life, beyond description. I think I listen to it about 5-8 times a day in its entirety. It's getting a bit crazy. Music I listened to YEARS before I even knew of this band make me want to listen to these songs. The band is not even a year old yet, and they kind of dominate my listening experience.
At first I had a love/ hate relationship with their exclusive single before the launch of their EP. It was pretty awesome but it was a complete diss-track to their old bandmates in Woe, Is Me. But then I heard this song cover that they made and it blew my mind out of the water. That was when I got their EP in full. The entire disk is front to back 6 songs, but has more variation and talent than anything I have herd in the last 5 years. They touch so well on vocals, screaming, and musicianship. Not to mention they cross genres and styles with effortless ease. Dubstep to hardcore to nu-metal to hip hop influence... just floors me. Some people are gonna call their lyrics weak, I consider them true. They aren't pretentious or over reaching, and that is a big quality in me.
Anyway, anyone worth showing this to would already either be interested or stopped reading. So here are some more stuff by them.Princeton Ave and their original single King Of Amarillo.

Why Is It....... that I just don't feel like making journals lately? Cept for randomly on the spot drunk ones. I still have yet to do one for my trip to Florida and now I'm losing my window on a PAX East journal. I'm just not really that motivated to do write ups on here as of late.
I've had a lot on my mind these past few weeks and even more people and confusion running through my head to even make a collective thought for anything readable. It's pretty frustrating =/
I Must Be A Woman...... because I'm half drunk at 1:10am and just drunk bought something... Games? Guitars? Music? Shirts? Nope.
Shoes!
FUCKING SHOES...
I already own a pair, BUT I LOVE THEM! And I know that @Microbe and @halo_dudette will back me up 110% when I say it was SO WORTH IT!!!
Vibram Bikila's for $35!!! I got a pair and they cost me $110 and change!!!! Grab em here if you EVER wanted a pair because I LOVE WOOT AND SO SHOULD YOU!!!
