Half a year.6 months ago, I flew from Ottawa, Ontario to Austin, Texas to start working for Rooster Teeth, something I had only dreamed of for 7 years.

I have been here now for.. half. a. year.
WAT

On one hand, Austin is really starting to feel like home, and I've become comfortable here. I love everyone I work with, I feel like I'm settling more and more into my position, roles are becoming more defined, and I feel like I belong. But, on the other hand, HALF A YEAR?! I could have sworn it's been 2-3 months, maybe.

This next half is going to be nuts. RTX, attending 4 conventions over the course of 2 months, and who knows what else.

What is the biggest thing that's happened to you in the last 6 months?

I got accepted to graduate school and found out I'll be moving to England in the fall

but yea congrats on being in Austin for 6 months, time really does fly.

Nice! It's a beautiful place in the summer months, but wet and windy the rest of the time. So definitely bring waterproofs! FYI, if the stereotypes are to be believed, Bournemouth is full of elderly folk.

I got to help make Emerald City Comic Con be AMAZING.
I got to meet 3 people that I've wanted to meet since I was 12 years old (I'm 32 now for reference)

I got to be the host for RvBCanWest and facilitate the Rooster Teeth panel via Skype.
I was chosen to be not only an RTX Guardian, but a Team Leader to boot!

Now...if only I could get a new job then this will be the best 2012 ever!

Finally got my Masters. The most gargantuan thing I've ever done. Hopefully PhD in the future too.

Got picked to be a Guardian again, and a team leader at that.

Oh, and I got Minecraft for the xbox. That was pretty big too.

Finished the History part of my Cand. at University of Copenhagen. Also made an account on Roosterteeth three months ago, and began using it actively some weeks ago. It really helped get through my exams, as it gave me something to alternate between.

Kinda sad my biggest thing is an internet-account, then again, it's the RT-community, so... Smiley Lightning to that:

Mine's job related too. But not as amazing.

I got hired at the pub I currently work at. First job I've held onto for longer than 2 months.

It feels good to be settled into a longer term employment sect.
Finally having money to spend doesn't hurt either
