Fitness UpdateApril 12 I was under 200lbs for the first time in years at 199.8lbs. Down from~240lbs at the end of January. I hit a wall and fluctuated between 199-204lbs. The last week I've consistently been around 200lbs and today I weighed in at 198.4lbs. I've decided to change my fitness goal from getting to under 190lbs to simply reducing my body fat percentage to 10% by August. I'm going to set benchmarks for the summer. Hard work & dedication pays off!

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." - James 1:12

If I may offer a suggestion: rather than set a weight goal, set a fitness goal. You're already working out and watching what you eat, right? So set a goal to, say, run x distance in y time, and make it a real challenge (like 7 miles in an hour). I view appearance as a consequence of fitness, so the more in-shape you work towards being, whether by strength or by endurance, the more your appearance will reflect that.

Also, as corny as this is to say, I'm proud of you. You've set goals and reached them, and you've kept working hard for it the whole time. Keep that up, and try to keep motivated even in the face of minor setbacks like progress speed bumps. My money says you'll be back to 180 by RvBTO.

You're doing really really well! Don't get discouraged by the scale. That's one of the worst things to do. I hate that lying piece of crap.

I'm also (again) trying to get in shape and lose weight. I've dropped 8lbs so far simply by getting off of night shift. It's helped encourage me to do more. The guy got me a fitbit and that's been helping me track just how active I am during the day and competing with him helps me get more active! My goal is to lose weight too, but I mostly want to fit into my skinny clothes again. I'm also changing up my diet a little. Instead of Paleo I'm going to do the ab diet with the guy. Mostly it's an excuse to eat healthy mac and cheese.
