#RTCQ QuirksHey RT,

A buddy of mine recently told me that I am one of his favorite people to play Halo with. At first I was flattered, but then he told me why he loves playing with me so much. Apparently I have the habit of shouting really cheesy one liners whenever I'm doing well in a match. Classic phrases such as "TAKE A SEAT, BUDDY!" and "OH I'M SORRY, WAS THAT YOUR FACE?" have made me the laughing stock of my circle of gamer friends. Ladies and gentlemen, apparently I am that guy when I play video games. I would say I'm sorry, but what's really sorry is YOUR AIM- sorry, sorry, that one came out of nowhere.

Anyway, here's my Community Question for you guys this week!

What are some funny/interesting habits or quirks that you have developed over the years? Don't have any? What about your friends?

Maybe you always answer the phone the same way, or perhaps you eat the things on your plate in a particular order. Whatever you do, feel free to share it in the comments below

Apparently I have a tendency to answer questions with a story or anecdote, much like Jesus would do.

I tend to be really handsome. I don't know how I picked up this habit, but it doesn't really bother me.

My friend says I have a story for anything and everything under the sun. Think of a topic and I just might have a story to go along with it.

I've become a sort of Grammar Nazi over the years.... it's annoying especially when half of your friends on Facebook are just idiots.

I've had that also, the worst was when my teacher used "your" instead of "you're".
#4  Posted 1 year ago
I do not mind if someone uses the wrong grammar. It's when someone tries to correct another s grammar or spelling, without using correct grammar themselves.

I apologize to people I kill in video games. So when playing Left 4 Dead you can hear me saying things like "Headshot...oh sorry!"
#9  Posted 1 year ago  |  + 7 Funny
I need you to apologize for me in video games
#1  Posted 1 year ago
I only apologize if it's one of my friends forced onto the opposite team.
Other than that, I'm quite a bit like Miles.

My kids have recently informed me I respond to everything with "Whadoyamean...?"
Example: "Hey Mom, I just stubbed my toe." "Whadoyamean you stubbed your toe?"

Quirks? Well apart from the ones stemming from my manic side, which are too numerous to count...

-Tend to somehow insult every Australian I meet (Unintentionally, of course...)
-I say K-nif as opposed to knife (How it looks like it should be said)
-And, of course, I have started over the past while to drive a point home far further than it needs to be said if I'm right or need to back myself up. Think Dr. Cox from Scrubs.

Also, dancing time has started coming to the front. REALLY not looking forward to that one.

I'm starting to get that one too. It's great fun at hockey games during those 30 second intermissions :P

I am a Grammar Nazi, and I have a tendency to talk with a British accent despite being Canadian.

my roommates from University tell me that I talk a lot with my hands
I also rarely curse - unless I am playing video games - then apparently I curse like a sailor with a diverse curse vernacular.

I tend to name inanimate objects "Mr" when I'm discussing them. Such as Mr TV isn't working or I can't find Mr. Pencil.

I don't like to leave things in the fridge by themselves. I have to put them next to other products so that they're not alone.

I also hate yellow light mixed with daylight.

Regarding gaming, I love it when everyone just devolves into Schwarzenegger voices.

I tend to laugh at almost all situations, and more than the average person at that. It's not even a nervous habit, I just think most things are funny and if they're not my mind will make it into something funny.

I think my grammarian in training skills have slowly pissed everyone off that I come in contact with on a daily basis. I also enjoy the fine hypothetical questions, such as,"If you put all of X on one half of the world, and get Y amount of thrust on the other side, does the Earth move?" My physics teacher loves me. Oh, and of course, I talk about music incessantly(mostly Foo Fighters).

I'm usually the quietest person around. Give me a xbox headset and a few gamers who can tell a joke, I can't stop laughing.

I tend to make up stupid little songs about what I am in the process of doing. Sometimes it's not even words, just like a beat and some almost melodic sounds. My mom says I have been doing it since I could make noise and Steven has caught me at it a few times. Occasionally there is also a bit of dancing to go along.

I tend to sing little songs describing exactly what I'm doing, always using the same melody. So if i'm turning on my Xbox, doing laundry, or making a sanwich with no pants on. (ok, I maybe a bit too much information)

I'm a compulsive doodler and writer. Give me a pen and a piece of paper and it will be covered with nonsense of some sort soon enough, hence why my college notes aren't legible in the least.

I tend to say things when I play games too, same with my friends Anthony and Richey. Like in MW2, I would put the tag "Wargasm" and when I would do good yell "YOU CAN'T STOP THE WARGASM!!" another one I like whenever playing Halo and I'm getting shot at in the warthog I yell "HEY! This is a rental"

My favorite Richey has said is "You see, my aim gets better, and you get uglier" and my favorite Anthony has said is "THIS IS BULLSHIT wrapped in a CORN TORTILLA with some PICANTE SAUCE and QUESO!!"

But we only say these things in Xbox live parties between us and our friends

I have an insane tendency to write run-on sentences, because I recently learned the proper use of commas, and I wish to impress upon everyone that commas are, in fact, not evil, and can be quite necessary, since one often needs to seperate particular parts of one's statement.
#24  Posted 1 year ago  |  + 2 Ditto
Commas are the boss.

That is usually how most of my papers turn out, a third of the page can often be one or two sentence's with me.

niriall NOT ADORABLE
I rant about things and go off on tangents. Its gotten so bad that I have earned the nickname "tangent girl" from fellow RT user Oroboros for when I go on the LFTO Shizno and he has to edit out my useless rants.
And everyone IRL agrees with the nickname.

I always go out of my way to make sure that hen I go up or down stairs, my legs each take an equal number of steps. I literally count how many steps each leg has taken, or at least which one's ahead. I don't know why.

Whenever I play multiplayer games I always call people 'Man'
"I killed the flag man."
"This man has no idea what's coming for him."
"Get that man! Get him and rape him!"
"There's a sniper man in the rocks"
It's like I'm turning everyone in a superhero man

If say, a rap song comes on my ipod, I will rap the first verse that I know or all of them depending on the song. I also invented the term "Chillax" and use it frequently in conversation. Another one, which is kinda troublesome, is that I will invent crazy stories on the fly to tell people, just to get there reactions, sometimes I literally cannot stop myself.

As I get angrier, I slowly slip into a Scottish-esque accent. Also, I eat Bavarian cream donuts with a small fork, starting with shaving the chocolate off the top.

well I apparently have really strong facial expressions. I work around a lot of stupid dumb asses and I've gotten good at not saying how I feel or think so now my face feels as if its job is express my emotions. Like "get the fuck away" or whatever. I will also make weird, mocking, sounds while people are telling me excuses or if they said something to try and be funny and it wasn't. Also I have a habit of becoming "uninterested" in what is being said so sometimes if I loose concentration in a conversation and something else grabs my attention...I just walk away even if whoever is talking to me is in mid senta...sorry I'm back, i'll post this now, but these all make me sound mean...im really not!!

Oh yeah, also when I get really frustrated or angry I go full southern, idk why. But what's weirder is when I get really really tired I take on a british accent....I am from texas. ha ha
