So this may sound like a bad joke, but..This is a completely true story with no hyperbole whatsoever.

I got pulled over today. As I spotted the sirens, I was texting and driving without a seatbelt. The officer approached my window and I handed him my expired drivers license as he noticed that my registration sticker was out-of-date. I searched in my glove box for proof on insurance but couldn't find it.

He told me he pulled me over for failure to use my turn signal, gave me a warning, and let me off.

Moral of the story? Don't mess with Texas... because if you do... you might get warned.

I believe that mission was a success.

Hahaha! PROTIP: first thing you do when a cop walks up to your window: say you're sorry. You're pretty much getting paid (or saving) a hundred bucks for kissing his ass. But don't over do it, of course. I know a guy who's a police dispatcher.

Wow...but I had something similar. I was driving on the interstate at 98 mph. A cop drove right next to me, nodded, and proceeded down the interstate without pulling me over. I love Kentucky! But I was no where near as lucky as you.

Lucky. I got a ticket from a wichita falls cop for wearing my seatbelt wrong. I didn't know it was illegal to put the shoulder strap under your arm when it is choking the life out of you as you travel down the road.

If I can take a stab into what he was thinking, he was near the end of his shift and he either didn't want to do the extra paperwork, or had to get out of there as fast as he could so he didn't laugh in front of you. Trust me, those situations are hilarious.
