RTO M.I.A.Unfortunately, due to my enrolment in some extra credits in the summer I can't attend this year. Non-stop work is all I know! I really wanted to see those of you I met last year, so I'll keep a lookout on twitter to see if anyone is at a pub and maybe I'll venture downtown if my workload permits. Regardless, I hope you all have a great time and try not to get too drunk!
(Sorry, this post was in need of a gif :d)

Still AliveI'm somewhat getting overwhelmed with the amount of work school has to offer. So far it has been pretty awesome but it's almost crunch time with the amount of midterms. This is affecting my freedom. Doing some pretty cool stuff though, need to take some pictures so I can detail some of my experiences! I'll try to do that in the future when I've got more time. Basically have been looking at skeletons of dead animals and memorizing information like crazy. Back to the books now!

RvBTOFigured I should make a short journal about it, considering what a great time it was. Just wanted to say that going in I wasn't sure what to expect since I wasn't heavily involved in the community. As such, my expectations were completely surpassed and I just wanted to thank everyone that organized, along with everyone I met for making it such an awesome experience.
And to think I almost didn't come on Sunday since I knew absolutely no one... But I guess after Saturday I realized that the RT community is one of the most friendly and accepting groups of people ever! Hope to see you all at future events (or online!).

Euro 2012I don't know how many of you have been watching the European Championships but you may have seen this during the Italy game. As someone with an Italian background this gif is just too priceless to not share. I couldn't stop laughing during the game and it still makes me laugh now.
 P.S. FORZA AZZURRI!

Spiders. Why did it have to be spiders?Being someone who is interested in Biology, I do have to say that insects both fascinate and horrify me at the same time (since they tend to gravitate towards me). Naturally my attention was grabbed by an article in the paper about spiders and I'm still somewhat disturbed by it.
Basically a town in India is overrun with a possible new species of tarantula, that has yet to be identified. They are said to be aggressive, biting residents resulting in swellings and a couple of people have died (though its not yet determined if its from venom or maybe traditional remedies).
Either way, its kind of scary since it reminds me of all those stupid spider horror movies. I'm pretty sure I would've just died of fear if my house was overtaken by spiders (like in the end scene of Arachnophobia). I would link a picture of the house seen but I've made a note to self: Do not search "spider" google images if you don't like bugs. A mistake I've made before.
I'll link a new site but they're all pretty much what I said, and their investigation is pretty inconclusive. (P.S. the title is a play on an Indiana Jones reference for those who haven't seen it - go watch it)
