Amazing Microsoft employeeSo I work at a movie theater. Most of what I do is wait for theaters to finish and then go clean it up. There is a ton of downtime when nothing is finished. And this is where my story happened.
So the other day when waiting for one show to finish up my coworkers and I were standing outside of the theater just shooting the shit. Just by chance we happen to be talking about video games while people are walking out. This lady customer hears our conversation and interrupts us. I am thinking "Oh man here is some random problem we have to take care of." I couldn't of been more wrong.
This was a very kind person just offering strangers something.
She asks, "Do y'all play video games?" We reply, "Yes." Then she said what I didn't expect, "I work for Microsoft and can get all of you a free game. Here is my email and if you email me I will send you a free game either here or to your house."
So obviously none of us believe her. It is way too rare to find someone that nice, let alone a stranger. So we are all reluctant to email her. Just on a random "Aw fuck it" moment I shoot her an email. Sure enough she sends back a list of what games she can order for free. So I go ahead and choose my game and give her my address. (I know, not that smart giving some stranger my address but that was part of the Aw fuck it moment). So honestly, I don't really expect anything. A few days pass and sure enough I get the game I told her in the mail and it is from a Microsoft distribution location. It even has a legitimate sticker stating "Microsoft company store purchase, Not to be sold." That is when I fully believed her. I had met someone who was genuinely nice and just offering something she wasn't using to complete strangers.
So basically this is my way of saying thank you to this kind Microsoft employee stranger. I am enjoying the game very much and will always remember the act of kindness and try and repay it to some other stranger some day.
Dark SoulsJust want to say how much I hate this game. It makes me an angry person. First game that has ever made me rip off the chat pad, thrown the controller, then throw the chat pad. Apparently I knew throwing only one thing wouldn't be enough. I hate it so much but it is still a great game so I can't stop playing. I will conquer it.
Three for Three!Got accepted to be a Guardian for the third time. I am proud to say that I am one of the few who has attended and been a guardian at every RTX! I hope to keep the streak alive for as long as I possibly can. So who all got selected for Guardian and who is all jut going as a regular attendee?
Went to Target to buy the RVB Best DVD of All Time and the cashier asked if it was something political. When I said no she asked what it was and I had to do the horrible thing of trying to explain RVB and the RT community to someone who doesn't understand internet stuff...
