When the apocalypse happens in 2012...I hope it's due to a zombie uprising. I would much rather be popping some caps in zombies then deal with floods (and learning how to swim) or crazy ass super volcano reactions. Plus no one can wait for zombies to be real. Zombie games, films and books are all the craze now and everyone has their own zombie survival plan (personally I am just gonna wing it) so when the Mayan calender ends I hope it's because they all raise from the dead and start eating brains and such. I guess it will be something like this. I can't wait for this next apocalypse because I was so dissapointed after Y2K fell through.
If you missed my last journal about whatever it was about check it out!

Anyone heard of DaveDays?Dave is a pretty popular "Youtube Celebrity" mainly for his parodies of Miley Cyrus songs. I am not a big fan of those parodies but what I do enjoy of Dave's is his punk remixes of songs. He does a great job of Alicia Key's "No One" and in my opinion it is much better than the original. Here is the link to his cover. He also does a version of Lollipop and Love Story which both also warrant a listen. He also has some funny sketches and songs.

Unicorn Dream AttackThe best way to describe Unicorn Dream Attack is if your game boy had sex with a robot and the birth was so beautiful that blissful things always surrounded it making music. He is an 8-bit artist (using a program called LSDJ that allows you to mod game boy sounds) from Minneapolis who released his first album a little over a year ago. If your into 8-bit music, I strongly suggest that you check out his Myspace and this song called Bit3rsw33t which is the first song off his album. I think he is the most talented 8-bit artist around.
If you missed my last journal (which you did) here is the link. Also if you liked Girl Talk check out Super Mash Bros.

Girl TalkIf you haven't listened to Girl Talk you need to check out his Myspace and download his newest album Feed The Animals. This is a pay what you want download (meaning you can buy it for 0 dollars) but I would recommend supporting this guy because Girl Talk (a.k.a Gregg Gillis) is extremely talented and revolutionary and with support can hit higher goals and keep releasing great stuff. Plus he will probably get sued sooner or later so we should make sure he is set up with a great lawyer. I saw him perform in Milwaukee on election night and it was a fantastic show. His energy mixed with the songs uniqueness yet familiar qualities from the sampled songs create an awesome dance party atmosphere. Some people call him a DJ but his mash ups are far more detailed than a DJ remix. Please check him out if you haven't yet, it will be worth your time.
If you are interested in other bands check out my previous journal about Matt and Kim.
Matt and KimMatt and Kim is a Brooklyn based band with two members (Matt and Kim) who play keyboards and drums respectively. They are best described as an indie pop band and have just started to break into a mainstream scene. You have most likely heard their song daylight in the newest Bacardi commercial. If you enjoyed this song I would strongly advise checking out their Myspace. They have two albums the first being self entitled and the second called Grand. I love Matt and Kim and you should definitally check them out if you want some good dance music.
If you missed my last journal which, let's get serious, you did, here is the link. Thanks.

Dan DeaconThe music suggestion of the day is Dan Deacon. Most of his albums are electronica/dance but his newer album Bromst is a mix between his dance music and an array of percussion sounds that he composed. If you haven't heard of him give a listen to one of his more popular songs called Crystal Cat and if you like that check out his Myspace.
Also if you missed my last journal about Viva La Hova (which you probabally did because I haven't friend requested anyone or been friends requested) here is the link.

Viva La HovaIf the only thing you like more than Coldplay is Jay-Z you should go out and try to download this album my Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. It is a fabulous mash up of Coldplay instrumentals (and a some vocal samples) mixed with Jay-Z rapping. If you can't find a place to download it a lot of songs are on youtube and their Myspace. It is definitively worth a listen. My favorite tracks are Science is Ignorant and Public Speeding. Give it a listen you won't regret it!
