Number Exchange? It's getting very close to RTX. I realized last year that it is very difficult to meet up with people if the only contact information you have is their profile on the site. People don't really check their messages and stuff (very quickly anyways) when they are surrounded by the people and things that they usually use this website to find.

So if anyone is interested in meeting up with me at some point during RTX, just shoot me a message and we'll exchange numbers.

I would just go ahead and send everyone on my friends list who is going to RTX a message asking to exchange numbers, but some people can be very protective when it comes to handing out their phone numbers to strangers on the internet [sarcasm]weirdos[/sarcasm] and I don't want to put anyone in the awkward position of having to say they would rather I didn't have their number [sarcasm]besides the awkwardness, the rejection would be unbearable to me[/sarcasm].

I can't wait to meet you all. Whether or not I have your number, I hope to see you there.

SupermanWell... It wasn't quite what I expected from Christopher Nolan, let's just put it that way. It's quite the unpopular opinion among my friends, I'm not sure why. Usually I'm not very critical of movies. The movie had some cheesy parts which my friends tell me is to be expected of superman movies, while I give that to them, most superman movies are filled with cheese, this is a Christopher Nolan Superman movie, I mean look at all of the batman movies that were made before Batman Begins filled with cheesy goodness, but Batman Begins had no cheese what-so-ever.

There was also an issue with pacing and rushing though things, there were parts of the origin story that were really cool and had never been seen in a Superman Movie before like the world of Krypton, but most of the stuff that we know oh-so-well about the Superman origin were rushed through, which I understand in the case that Nolan didn't want to make this movie an origin story, but other elements of the story were just confusing. When did superman become a cast member of The Deadliest Catch? When was he in the military researching an alien artifact? Also there was no Lois and Clark does she, doesn't she know thing. She pretty much finds out Clark Kent is Superman in the first 25 minutes that she's on screen. To me that's a huge part of the Superman story, maybe it's been done to death and I understand that, but it's a Superman movie, and let's face it, that's part of any good Superman movie.

Quentin Tarantino has a great analysis of Superman explaining that Superman is the only super hero to be disguised when he is not fighting crime. Superman is Superman all of the time, but he disguises himself as a human, as Clark Kent, as weak. In this movie, we saw a whole lot of the Superman side of superman, but barely any of Superman trying to disguise himself as Clark Kent.

My final gripe is that the action never climaxed. It sort of plateaued the entire time. There was no point where any of the action was more impactful than the previous action scene, it was all sort of the same fighting done over and over again. There were no bad ass moves that Superman or the villans pulled, it was just super powered people punching each other, not appearing to cause much damage to each other, but nearly destroying the entire planet.

I don't think the movie was bad, but I think it could have been done much better.

Strange...When I tried to pre-order the Xbox One from the Microsoft store they were going to charge me immediately for a console that I wouldn't receive for another 5 months. I just now pre-ordered from Game Stop and they won't charge me until the console actually ships. Isn't the Game Stop model the usual case? I don't have the money to buy a new console at the moment, but I should easily be able to save up for it by November.

First Freelance JobToday I start my first job of my freelance career in film making. My mom works for a veterinary office, and this week they are putting on a sort of kids camp where the kids will learn all about dogs and how to take care of one. The woman putting on the kids camp wanted someone to make a video showcasing the various lessons and activities going on this week, so my mom suggested to her that I could do it, and she accepted the offer. It's unpaid, but like I've been saying, it's all about experience. This opportunity is a foot in the door.

At least it's worth missing the Microsoft E3 presentation for in the long run. Oh... looks like the presentation was at 9:30 PT and 12:30 ET, looks like I'm not missing it!

State of DecayI'm not very far into the game, but so far it's pretty cool. It has one mechanic that I really like and hasn't been implemented in many, if any, other games that I've played: when a character in your "party" dies, they are gone, there is no restart, they just die and then you switch to another character. Thumbs up so far.

PS. I changed my username on Twitter from irishrocker180 to Keegan_Nolan. I thought I would say that here instead of having to post another journal about it tomorrow.
