RTX Business CardsRTX is just around the corner, so I guess it's time I open up for RTX business cards! In case you don't know what I'm talking about, here's an example of mine:
Want one? I need a message with the following info:
1) A major and minor color scheme you want on the card (Mine is green and dark red)
2) A picture. Photos are not recommended.
3) Your name, if you want it on the card (Your username will also be there, but I can figure that out)
4) A short blurb
5) An email to send the result to
6) Optional: If you're a Guardian let me know and you'll get priority
I'll be sending out PDF files with 10 2"x3.5" cards to a sheet. Have a special request? I can probably handle it. And if you had one last year and just want some updates let me know. I've still got the files.
You won't have to pay a thing for this. I'm doing it because I suck at remembering names, and need a quick way to remember. But since this is a free service, it may not be very fast. So message me now if you want to guarantee a rapid turnaround. Also, RTX Guardians get priority until June 1st, so if you're a Guardian and want one let me know in the message.
*Disclaimer* I don't claim to be some amazing graphics designer or anything. I'm just some random guy with Microsoft Publisher and am frankly working off of a template I hashed together in my free time.

Iron Man 3, anyone?Anyone in the Austin area want to see Iron Man 3 this weekend? Just finished up classes, and I need a break before exams.

Explosions in BostonIn case you haven't heard, there were two explosions at the Boston Marathon this afternoon.
Multiple injuries have been reported. We can only hope that that they pull through.
Edit: Link to police scanner. Expect a long load time. There are 24 K listeners.
Edit 2: Confirmed 3rd explosion at JFK Library. Definitely a terrorist attack.
Edit 3: Code black declared at a local hospital. This means a potential bomb has been found on premises, in this case a military style bag. May or may not be a false alarm.
Final Edit: JFK and hospital bombs were false alarms. JFK was electrical fire.

It's Quiet...As some of you may know, @Arcys has been rooming with me for the past few weeks. He's a refugee from the North moving into the great state of Texas. Austin, specifically. Well, he's found a place of his own (where he has room for a bed bigger than the spare trundle I had), and just moved in today. Arcys, you've been a great roommate and I miss you already.
Ah, well, at least now I can walk around in my underwear and no one will judge me.

Holy CowSix years... I've been on the site for 6 years... Has it really been that long?
I've seen some awesome people come and go over the years. Some awesome things, too. And I want to thank all of you for being awesome along the way, whether from the beginning of my time here or any point after that day in March of '07 when I signed up.
In completely unrelated news, I'm in Vegas! It's a ton of fun here (even though I lost a bunch of money last night). And my room is amazing. I'm staying at the Cosmopolitan, and when I got here the standard room I was supposed to get was still being cleaned. But instead of having me wait, the guy at the front desk upgraded me from a room with two queens to a 2 bedroom, 2 and a half bath corner suite overlooking the mountains on one side and the fountains on the other. It's pretty amazing!

Now I'm just about to head to a bar show at Treasure Island, and then to Rio to see Penn and Teller. After that I plan on finding the secret pizza joint in the Cosmo for late night snacking. And tomorrow's agenda is to lose more money, eat tons of food, and take a helicopter tour. Really wish I wasn't leaving late Friday.
One last thing: I was walking the strip last night and passed someone wearing a Gus Guevara shirt. I didn't have time to stop to say hi, but let me know if that was you.

Just Took My First US Legal DrinkI will neither confirm nor deny that any drinking occurred before now. But I just toasted in my 21st birthday with a shot of tequila. And, damn, that stuff is strong.
Anyway, leave drink and beer recommendations in the comments. Emphasis on the cheap and easy to make drinks and less well known beers.
