I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I just wanted to point out something incredibly awesome that is happening within our happy little community. My two favorite women in the world, @coolcaiti and @christalou have put together a fantastic event the day after RTX.
It's called "In Real Life" and it is a chance for you to show the world that gamers and us "internet folk" aren't just basement dwellers who only care about the newest cat meme or PSY song. It's an opportunity to get out in the real world and do some positive work out there.
I know I'll be volunteering my time to help out in any way I can, and I think you should too. So, if you are going to be at RTX this year, why not spend the day after with a bunch of friends doing something really special for the community?
If you are indeed interested, make sure to fill out this expression of interest form so they can get an idea of how many people are going to be helping out! It'll help get sponsors and food and other goods to help the cause!!
Go check out the group page and sign up! I'll be there and I hope you will too!
I hope you are having a lovely day with whatever you are doing. We just wrapped up a session of Defiance here at the Achievement Hunter office and it turned out a lot better than expected. You should check out that game!
Anyway, I just wanted to remind folks that I'll be in Australia starting a week from today and going for like two weeks. While I'm there I'll be attending Supanova Melbourne from April 12th-14th and then Gold Coast from April 19th-21st. In between those events I'll be stopping by Sydney to hang out with whoever wants to hang out with me. I'm thinking of getting a group of folks together to go check out the IMAX version of Jurassic Park... and then drinking a lot of alcohol. Anyone interested?
I'm seriously excited for my trip, as I'm sure plenty of you know, I've wanted to go to Australia for a while and I can't wait to touch a koala and pet a kangaroo.
Anyway, during the Supanova events, I'll be hanging with the guys from Hanabee (our Aussie distributor) and signing anything put in front of me. They actually had me do an interview with the Australian super star @coolcaiti that you can check out by clicking here! Warning, I was in Vegas during the interview, so I may appear pixelated or intoxicated.
Also, congratulations goes out to everyone at Rooster Teeth on 10 years of insanely awesome content. I can't believe I get to be a part of such an awesome company and every single day brings forth new challenges and exciting times. You should all come to RTX 2013 to celebrate. Joel will pay for the beer.
Anyway, thanks again, check out that interview, check out Defiance and hold steady for another decade worth of content from Rooster Teeth. And if you've read this entire journal and made it this far, I have a DLC code for Awakened, the new add-on for Dead Space 3 for the PS3 and PC (not Xbox). If you want one draw a marker symbol on your body and take a photo and put it in the comments below.

Dead Space 3 Teamwork Contest Winners!Hey there folks, I hope you are having an awesome Friday! I wanted to let you know who we picked as our favorites in the Dead Space 3 "Teamwork" contest with an awesome Dev Team Edition copy of the game as a grand prize.
We also have some other goodies for those who didn't come in first, so not all is lost for those of you who we didn't pick!
First and foremost, I wanted to point out an awesome entry by @toraa, this is such an awesome graphic, but unfortunately she lives all the way out in Norway, so we can't get her the grand prize (but I'm sure we'll figure out some goodies to send her way.) Check out this amazing piece!
Alright, with no more delay, our winner is @GreenSpleen with his more "realistic" take of what teamwork would be in the Dead Space universe. Aka the "screw you, you go first" approach.
I love it! We'll be sending over the Dev Team edition very soon, courtesy of the guys at EA and Viscreal!
Now, for some of our other favorite entries, check out this one by @FishNinja
I love the whole C3P0 on Chewie's back design to it. NEVER GIVE UP! Here's another favorite from @kitn42
Awwww, Isaac is just so nice to Carver! I'm not sure what is in his arms though, maybe Carver brought cookies. I love it.
That'll do it for this contest, I'll be contacting the folks we're sending stuff to very soon and keep your eyes on Achievement Hunter for more awesomeness coming very soon. Once again, thank you to everyone who entered and thank you to EA and Viscreal for hooking us up with some awesome prizes.
Don't forget to play Dead Space 3. The game is awesome and you need to play it!!
I just posted a video about this contest (right here) but I figure I should make a journal to get a bit more detailed.
The fine folks at EA have given us a Dead Space 3 Dev Team Edition to give away to one lucky contest winner. "What kind of contest?" you may ask... well, let me tell you.
We're looking for your best representation of "TEAMWORK" in the Dead Space universe. Isaac and Carver had to help each other out throughout Dead Space 3, so I thought this would be a good chance to show off our community's version of teamwork.
All you have to do is submit a photo (or drawing or whatever) to our contest gallery right here. At 11:59pm CST on Friday, March 15th the entries will close and we'll announce a winner sometime next week. We also have some other goodies to give away, so even if you don't win the Dev Team Edition, you may still get some goodies just for entering.
Seriously, this box is awesome... it comes with a ton of cool stuff. You can get a more detailed look at it over at the EA store, but I promise you want to win it. Good luck and I can't wait to see what you come up with!
**NOTE** This contest is exclusive to the US only! At least, the Dev Team Edition is, if there is a non-US entry that we love, we can probably get you something!
Basically this is a tool we're going to start using to find the best maps every week and will give you guys the chance to check out some of the coolest new maps before we do!
So, let me walk you through it... start at achievementhunter.com/halohorsemaps/ and hit SUBMIT MAP in the upper right corner. That'll take you here:
Fill out the form as best as you can. If you have a YouTube link to a completion of your map, input it there, otherwise leave it blank for now. Once you submit your map, it'll appear on the main page like this:
Now, if you just want to check out some maps, you can click on any of the submissions, look at the details to download them, check them out and then vote them up or down. We'll pull from the most voted maps every week to play in our HORSE match!
When you click on the maps, they'll take you to this page:
Here, if there is a YouTube completion, you'll see it at the top. Each map also has a thread where you can post your thoughts and opinions on it. I'm hoping we can help cultivate an awesome community of map makers and offer up advice on maps. Do you think a map could use a little bit of tweaking? Mention it in the thread and maybe the map maker can work on it and re-submit it later!!
As we start using the maps in the queue, they'll jump over to the archive and you can see them for yourself! So, if you've submitted a map recently, go ahead and re-submit it through here and let's get this party rolling!
A little gift from the Doctors!Aloha folks, how are you doing this fine afternoon? I just wanted to drop off something that our awesome artist friend PatTGF put together after watching Gavin and Michael's kick ass Surgeon Simulator Rage Quit. PatTGF is the same guy that made our awesome Holiday poster as well!
Enjoy your new wallpaper. The Doctors are In! (Click that for the big version!)
Another temporary solution!Aloha folks!! Alright, we're still finalizing our AH Uploader tool for some new stuff (and waiting on Waypoint to have Halo 4 fileshare!) but in the mean time, please upload your Halo 4 fails to our current AHUploads.com channel.
Just go to www.ahuploads.com/ and click on Fails of the Weak, and then input your Fail like this:
Make sure you put the correct File Name in there because that's how I view them!
A temporary solution!Folks, as you know Halo 4 is now available and I'm looking for some HORSE maps to play! Unfortunately, Waypoint doesn't have fileshare stuff up for 4 yet, so I'm having to do some old fashioned search for file share stuff.
So, if you have a map ready to go TODAY for Halo 4 HORSE, please go to www.ahuploads.com/ and pick the HORSE icon, then fill out the form like this:
I'll go through them and get enough ready to put out an episode! Thanks guys, you are all awesome!
