Day ZI have discovered a mod for Arma II called Day Z which is completely awesome. It is a realistic zombie RPG which allows you to live out your fantasy as a survivor of the zombie doomsday on a very large island. You get to scavange through the abandon houses, discover new place and people which you will find out not all players are friendly. If anyone else is playing this mod or might be starting new in it just post maybe we can get a little survivor group going and have fun.

Meh. I really couldnt care at this point. I will continue to host 1333, but Rcoket, BIS, whoever can go suck a dick for not taking the time to figure out how to stop the hacks.
i think at this point their main focus is gonna be the stand alone game. but it was a new twist in the game running from the fire. until then the sale of arma is gonna go up as more and more new players try the mod.
Barns and deer stands are your best bet then the towns in the west north west of the map. And only go to the big cities if you have a death wish
Since I made that post I created a new character who spawned outside cherno so I went in, found an axe, then went to the military complex beside the hospital. Murdered another recent spawn who didn't have anything yet (but can you blame me, I get shot on sight so often). Got lots of medical gear, an M1014 and an M9, I then realised I had amazing stuff and that I was in cherno so I logged out lol too scared.
I managed to make it through electro yesterday for the first time without getting my head sniped
My tip would be always go to cherno or elektro when you spawn since you have nothing to lose. You're bound to find a gun and decent loot, but once you get good stuff you should probably leave.
Yeah, I played again yesterday and I ran into a player, he attracted a few Zeds and I took most of them out but got a little overwhelmed so ran away and shot them from a distance. I went back and bandaged myself and he gave me a blood transfusion (I had a blood pack) I offered to help him out but he was fine. So now I just need to leave cherno.

I ran up the tallest hill I could find and saw nothing but rolling hills and trees for miles. True story.
No that was fixed in this patch.

If you kill people (that aren't bandits) your humanity will go down and eventually you will get the bandit head scarf. Basically telling everyone that you will kill them.
To raise your humanity you need to do good deeds. Such have give blood transfusions, painkillers, morphine etc... Which will then raise your humanity to the 'Hero' skin.
With a new character, I sprint everywhere... because, you know, fuck the police. The reason why is because I have nothing of value and the zeds cant catch you. I find open buildings and immediately start looking for a hatchet (My favorite weapon. It's quiet and I can chop down trees.) Next, I go into the big cities (Still sprinting BTW) and start looking for a hunting knife, matches and a water bottle (doesn't matter if it is empty or full). Compasses, watches, and binoculars help but are not necessary at this point. At this point, you have everything you need to be self sufficient so I head toward the woods and find an animal to hunt. Kill it and cook it and you now have food that adds about 1000 blood in case you have been injured in your journey thus far. I try to stay near a pond if I can so that I can fill the water bottle if necessary.
That can easily happen unfortunately. Running over a rock the wrong way can cause that to occur. Turning in too tight an area. Having someone walk over your legs. Etc, etc.
I'm stealing this strategy.
Could have easily been a hacker, if when that happens you see a lot of other people dying simultaneously, then its a hacker.
