When are we going to find out more about the event (i.e. panel's, companies attending)?
Later on in the coming months. There is a lot of information we cannot release yet, but we'll keep you posted.
Yes, that will still be there even if you bought your ticket.
I'm not sure. Most likely no.

It was obvious in the chat that no one wanted to share that info. All that was said is that they're going fast. Best advice is to tell him to make his mind up quick.
As Kavanaugh said in the previous post, we don't know as RT hasn't released any numbers and seemed hesitant to do so.
The best and safest way to ensure a ticket is to register now. You can always sell the ticket later if he doesn't want to go.

Barbara, a few questions that this brings up:
-Are there any restrictions regarding reselling of passes?
-Can people post that they have passes for sale here on the forums?
-This year, Penny Arcade stopped letting people do this to cut down on fakes.
Plenty are left. He'll be fine.
It'll probably be determined by when you bought your ticket. So if you were the 69th person to buy one, you're in luck!
There are no age restrictions. Anyone can go.
Don't worry I know plenty of people in the post office, when your badge gets lost it won't be cause you moved...
All you badge are belong to us
Seriously though, it's pretty easy to arrange a forwarding address with the post office.
you would be amazed when I switched to a more convenient bank here I had 3 debit cards sent before I got one of them to my house... such a fun process

Austin has an incredibly low crime rate for a city as large as it is. Should the worst happen, you're 5 blocks from the downtown HQ for the Austin Police Department and 15 blocks from one of the most advanced hospitals in the country. Also, I believe (but am not sure so correct me) that the convention center requires police security for events of a specific size. At least I've always seem police officers around there every time anything was going on.
In reply to MorbeusX, #21:
Last year, we had the amazing Jeff Williams did an incredible combination of a Q&A and live show for us, showing us how he composed all the songs for the last few seasons. I'd be surprised if there wasn't something similar in mind for this year if not bigger and better. Also, Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World and there are no less than at least 100 live shows every single night of the week in Austin, so music will not be a problem.
If, however, you're in a band who would like to play RTX2012 and that's why you brought this up, I'd suggest emailing exhibitor[at]rtxevent[dot]com as stated in the FAQ and see if they're interested (though I would recommend sending any demo material like YouTube videos or mp3s as links rather than attachments, if nothing else to be polite and not screw up the email servers with large files).
Is your band somehow related to video gaming?

Why did they ask for information for each member like RoosTeeth.com username?
I'm in the same boat you are but you should email gus[at]rtxevent.com he will change it for you. Date tickets being mailed are still unknown right now

What if your username on the site doesn't match up with whats on the pass? Will that be an issue?
No, it doesn't matter.
Oh it matters...
