*************************

General

Q: Are there any FAQs?
A: Other than this thread there's the official FAQ section of the website.

Q: Will I be able to purchase Rooster Teeth merch?
A: Most, but not all merch will be available at the Convention Center.

Q: I wasn't able to submit a Guardian Application before the deadline. Is there anyway I can still become one?
A: Outside of paying Gus six figures, unfortunately not. All Guardian positions have been filled.

Q: When is the convention center open?
A: Hours run 9am to 6pm.

Q: I wish to supply the Cast & Crew with delicious alcohols for their faceholes. How can I do this?
A: Austin Convention Center policy prohibits you from bringing alcohol on the premises. The thought is appreciated though.

****

Registration

Q: Where can I register for RTX?
A: You can register for RTX at RTXevent.com

Q: How much does registration cost?
A: Passes are $50 for all three days, or $30 for a single day. (OP Note: I will calculate different prices later. - Arcys)

Q: When will tickets sell out?
A: Not for a while. Badges are now on sale! Get yours here.

Q: When will I receive my passes?
A: Passes will be collected on site this year. If one person bought several, you need to be there with photo ID at convention registration on the day.
f you have registered with Eventbrite.

Q: Will my pass have my RT user name on it?
A: Passes do not have your user name on them. Sorry xXbuttzmiester42Xx!

****

Hotels

Q: Are there any hotel deals going on?
A: Rooster Teeth has negotiated deals with hotels. They will be listed on the hotels page soon!

Q: Is there a map of the hotels in relation to the convention center?
A: Coming soon!

Q: When should I book my hotel?
A: Book early! The hotels closest to the convention center usually are the first to sell out.

****

Travel

Q: What airport should I use?
A: You will want to use the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The IATA airport code is AUS, and their address is 3600 Presidential Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78719, USA [Map It!]

Q: Is there train service to Austin?
A: Yes there is! Amtrak has daily service to Austin via the Texas Eagle route (Chicago - St. Louis - Little Rock - Dallas - San Antonio). Three times a week it continues on to Los Angeles via El Paso and Tucson. Austin's station code is AUS. [Map It!]

****

Events

Q: What kind of events will be happening at RTX?
A: Official events will be listed on the schedule. Also keep in mind the many ad-hoc things that go on during conventions such as RTX. A lot of people will be playing tabletop games wherever they can find a spot! Don't be afraid to go to a bar with the 6 people you just met in line for Halo 4.

Q: When is X gonna be announced?
A: Follow @rtxevent on twitter and check the main page for any updates!

Q: Will a popular person I like be there?
A: Check back on the guest list HERE.

Q: Will there be a tour of the Rooster Teeth offices?
A: No tours will be given this year. The office will likely be closed the week before and after the event.

Q: Somebody should organize a community event!
A: Silly Rabbit! That's not a question, but we like the way you think! Get your kicks over at the SideQuest group!

Q: Will there be another shoot like last year?/b]
A: Any information regarding a production will be released closer to the date.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, so don't worry about your question not getting noticed.

I suppose I'll start this off.

When are we going to find out more about the event (i.e. panel's, companies attending)?

Later on in the coming months. There is a lot of information we cannot release yet, but we'll keep you posted.

I have a question, mostly cause i'm paranoid. If I already bought my ticket, and have it confirmed and all that, is that little nametag thing attached to the top part of the RTX page still supposed to say my account name and BUY YOUR TICKET NOW! ? Cause I keep noticing that and it always makes me worried that for some reason my ticket didn't register with my account or whatever

It was obvious in the chat that no one wanted to share that info. All that was said is that they're going fast. Best advice is to tell him to make his mind up quick.

I dont know if this wuestion has already been asked, but is there any sort of ETA on when the tickets are supposed to sell out? My friend Tyler might not be able to get a ticket if they run out in like the first few days.

As Kavanaugh said in the previous post, we don't know as RT hasn't released any numbers and seemed hesitant to do so.

The best and safest way to ensure a ticket is to register now. You can always sell the ticket later if he doesn't want to go.

Barbara, a few questions that this brings up:
-Are there any restrictions regarding reselling of passes?
-Can people post that they have passes for sale here on the forums?
-This year, Penny Arcade stopped letting people do this to cut down on fakes.

It'll probably be determined by when you bought your ticket. So if you were the 69th person to buy one, you're in luck!

Im sorry i have two questions, but my mom is very concerned about my safety. She doesnt know that much about RT and it would help if she knew it was a safe environment ( ya know like no rape or guns pointed at me), even though i already puchased my ticket.

Completely pointless question but when should we expect out badges(tickets?) to arrive. I may be moving from the address I used to order the ticket in the next month or so and dont want it lost to the wonderful Stillwater post office.

Don't worry I know plenty of people in the post office, when your badge gets lost it won't be cause you moved...

All you badge are belong to us

Seriously though, it's pretty easy to arrange a forwarding address with the post office.

I was wondering... has it been considered to have live bands play at a possible future event?

Austin has an incredibly low crime rate for a city as large as it is. Should the worst happen, you're 5 blocks from the downtown HQ for the Austin Police Department and 15 blocks from one of the most advanced hospitals in the country. Also, I believe (but am not sure so correct me) that the convention center requires police security for events of a specific size. At least I've always seem police officers around there every time anything was going on.

In reply to MorbeusX, #21:

Last year, we had the amazing Jeff Williams did an incredible combination of a Q&A and live show for us, showing us how he composed all the songs for the last few seasons. I'd be surprised if there wasn't something similar in mind for this year if not bigger and better. Also, Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World and there are no less than at least 100 live shows every single night of the week in Austin, so music will not be a problem.

If, however, you're in a band who would like to play RTX2012 and that's why you brought this up, I'd suggest emailing exhibitor[at]rtxevent[dot]com as stated in the FAQ and see if they're interested (though I would recommend sending any demo material like YouTube videos or mp3s as links rather than attachments, if nothing else to be polite and not screw up the email servers with large files).
