Im actually from Springfield area. east of Springfield actually between South Vienna and London. I just moved to Fairborn this fall. What part of Springfield are you from?
I plan on going. I am from the akron area but do not plan on driving thats about a 2-3 day trip. If anyone is down for flying let me know. Does anyone the ticket prices?
Hey 2 from Dayton (actually in the city limits, none of this Kettering BS) here, probably flying down but if we found a few to carpool with we might drive.
Also might do a few days before/after to do stuff, BBQ anyone?
Ok we are officially going, looking over the route its "only" 1200 miles from Dayton to Austin, so we would drive if we can get 4+ people 1+ more car to go with.
Also we have a hotel room 1 block from the convention center (Hilton Downtown Austin) looking for 4 people (21+ preferred but not required) to room with us, and would prefer Ohio people. Send me a message if interested.
I'm most likely going. I have a ticket and I'm looking into air fair and hotels right now. Don't know if I'm leaving from Cleveland or Columbus, but I'm definitely going early to try out all the awesome food that I have heard about on the podcast haha.
My wife and I are from the Cincinnati area and moved down to TX a few years ago. Austin is my favorite place to go and I'm trying to talk the lady into going. I've been meaning to meet the guys from RT since 2004 and haven't gotten a chance yet. Let me know if anyone wants to hang out or if you need a kind of tour guide. I know some really good restaurants, coffee and hookah shops.
Not sure if I'm going, but it looks like a rather sure bet. I myself hail from Dayton currently (But from an outlying city, not telling which due to my ever growing paranoia ). It would be much easier to do this with people to split costs, but I'm working on finding friends to drag down with me.

Cool! I'm about halfway between downtown Springfield and Urbana, in the middle of nowhere. On a hill.
