When did you start listening to the podcast?

This thread is for reminiscing. How did you discover the Drunk Tank podcast?

Here's my story:

In December 2008, I got in to a film festival in Austin you may have heard about on the podcast called BNAT. While I was down there I thought I might as well visit the RT office. Despite being really b...

I admit, I got into it late. I started listening back in April of 2011. I had just gotten out of a very serious 5 year relationship and was in a bad place. I had only known Rooster Teeths work with Red vs Blue, but that had always made me laugh and cheer up a bit so I started watching those again on here. From there I started checking out what more they had and found the podcast. Spent the next few weeks catching up on all of them and it really cheered me up and helped a lot. Now I am completely hooked on just about everything here :) Thank you Rooster Teeth.

Found a video podcast and watched it. Probably around last summer. Started on the podcast proper from #1 in January 2012 to caught up a few weeks ago. I couldn't tell you what happened in any given podcast, but I enjoyed the hell out of them all. I can't listen to them and do work. Haven't learned to tune out voices saying interesting/funny things when I need to concentrate. I have to listen or it's not worth it for me.

I wasn't a major RT fan until I watched a video podcast. Before that, I was just subscribed to them (mainly for Ach Hunter).

When the Animated adventrues came out on youtube, I had no clue that the RT podcast even existed. When the Animated adventrue about Mr. Heyman's (Joel's) snake came out I laughed so hard that I watched podcast #119. After that day I started listening to them weekly from #134, but I've also listend from up to #111.

I started listening to the RT Podcast (formally the Drunk Tank) when Michael "Rage-Quit" joined AH but after listening for awhile, I got addicted to the entire series. Currently listened to all the episodes and still lovin it.

I joined kind of late, listening to them on and off since 113 (which might have been a video podcast). I really got into them when I got incredibly sick and I listened to about 4-5 hours of the podcast straight every day because it was the only thing that distracted me from being sick. Now I love the podcast, and I look forward to Wednesdays way more than I used to.

I started listening to the podcast about 2 1/2 to 3 months ago and I have been listening to it non-stop. I am on podcast #111 of my second pass through the list and i'm laughing more now than i did when i heard them the first time.

It amazes me how surprisingly few listeners we pick up within our own fanbase. There are so many fans of the Rooster Teeth Podcast that don't know or care about Rooster Teeth Productions as a whole, and I think its freakin awesome. Welcome to the Rooster Teeth Community, guys!

I actually just started listening to the podcast last month. I'm quite glad I did, too! It's immensely enjoyable to just listen to intellectuals talk amongst one another about things of the general world, gaming, and hilarity.

Wow. First anniversary of this thread!

It's been super interesting reading everyone's stories over the last year. And it's been amazing to see the podcast grow from this thing they just had a lot of fun recording, to being fully sponsored. To commemorate this, here is a picture of Gus with his pizza money.

I only started to listen to the podcast within the past couple of months, via the animated adventures and my husband having it on in the background. Awesome.

I think I tried one about #40-something, but for some obscure reason I didn't like it. Then I went back randomly about #60-something, and listened them all since then (including backlog)

I knew of it for a while but didn't start to actually listen to it until April 2012 and I am working my way through them, one at a time. I listen to it while running and it is great!

My brother used to tell me all the details of every podcast so last September I broke down and started listening, and I love it. I still haven't quite caught up to the most recent ones but i'm working on it. I try to use the podcast as an incentive to clean and wash dishes.

I started listening to this amazing podcast when finishing up my thesis in architecture school. It helped me through many long nights but what happened afterwards was even more amazing. I dropped Gus's "Come at me bro!" and i got responses from two fellow classmates right next too me. we quickly discovered that we all have an interest in Roosterteeth's endeavors. i can for Red vs. Blue but stay for the crazy cast.

Well, 2008 was a very mundane point in my life.. mostly because I was 12. Living in Kansas, a 12 year olds life really only revolves around gaming.

So, I was always browsing Itunes for new gaming podcasts to listen up on. Found the drunk tank on it's first episode, been listening ever since.

I've just been watching Red vs Blue since about season 3. And liking that series so much, I started delving more and more into Rooster Teeth. And about a year ago I started listening to every episode of the podcast and I regret not listening to it earlier

It must've been around Episode 45, as I had just gotten an iPod Touch, and I had seen the headers on the website, causing me to realize, "Hey, I can go on iTunes now." I've tuned in every week since, and listened to most of the episodes multiple times

How I discovered the podcast is part of the same story as too how I came back to being a member of this awesomeness. My friend was showing me the Immersion videos and I think my response was along the line of "these guys are fucking awesome... wait they do this for a living?!?!" and then my friend made an offhand comment of "oh they have a podcast too"

I started somewhere in the 40's and then went back and listened to them all. The podcast is pretty much the only thing keeping me sane during my 40min commute to work at 7am every morning.
