CommunityIts currently in it's Second Season. Its based around the community college experience, they make fun of how different it is as a college experience. It starts off about the Big Character "Jeff" who is a lawyer who had a fake law degree and has to get his degree back before he can get back to his job. He starts a spanish study group to try to get with Britta and ends up getting a 7 person study group instead. Then the rest of the cast comes in throughout the first episode giving you a simple view of all the characters who are:

Jeff Bridges - Joel McHale

Britta Perry -Gillian Jacobs

Abed Nadir - Danny Pudi

Shirley Bennett - Yvette Nicole Brown

Annie Edison - Alison Brie

Troy Barnes - Donald Glover

Pierce Hawthorne - Chevy Chase

Señor Chang - Ken Jeong

Dean Pelton - Jim Rash

For any person who watched college humor or directly watched the DerrickComedy Shorts. Troy Barnes is played by Donald from DerrickComedy, he helps get cameo's for some of his derrickcomedy brothers on the show every now and then. Troy and Abed are a great comedic duo for this show, almost everything do warrants some laughs on the show.
The big thing about this show is Jeff is trying to distance himself from the study group but ultimately can't stop himself with becoming friends with the group.

I just discovered this show recently. It's pretty clever, and they had an awesome Christmas special that was stop-motion animated. It's pretty uncommon for a TV show like that to make such an episode so early on. I love it.

I would watch pretty much anything with Joel McHale in it. I'm so glad I started watching this show.

Whom does everyone ship? I like Jeff/Annie and Jeff/Slater. (And Troy/Abed, of course.)

Oh, what does everyone think happened to Slater? She declared she loved Jeff in the season 1 finale, and then we never saw or heard from or about her again.

OK if you like Community and you want another season, you have to do this:

Help us ensure Community gets a 3rd season!

Most clever "save a show" campaign I've seen yet. Gogogo. Reblog, spread the word, etc.

What a great show! Just watched Environmental Science, episode 10. Can't get enough of Fievel! And the song is so damn magical when they sang it together.

Was it really a fake law degree? Or a law degree that wasn't accepted in the US with a fake recommendation or something to do with an email of some sort. I never understood that part.

This makes me very sad and was afraid this might happen when 30 Rock returned, but it doesn't mean the end of Community. It is still expected to produce and air 22 episodes and there has been no formal announcement about cancellation. It'll probably return later in the year, like March, with the chance of no repeats. Community is my favorite comedy on television right now, but 30 Rock also needs to get back into the rat race. Community was unfortunately the weakest show ratings-wise, and there is no space in the line-up at the moment, so it was the obvious choice. However, that doesn't mean the series is over. We'll just have to wait and see, and support the show.

Despite the horribleness of Whitney and the fact it dropped 1/3 of audience since its premiere, the series is performing relatively well ratings-wise. It's Thursday's second best show for NBC, but this is probably due to having the Office as its lead-in. Now we'll see how well the show will do without a strong lead-in.

I seriously don't get it, so NBC is putting Community on hiatus because they aren't popular enough, yet they are popular enough to have been voted onto the cover of TV Guide? Also, how do you put Community on hiatus while still allowing Whitney to essentially re-air the same episode every week? The NBC execs are idiots.

While NBC does do stupid stuff sometimes, first we should be thankful they even gave Community a chance. On other networks, it would have been cancelled by now, so take things in strides. With that in mind, "benching" it does seem like a stupid a move. But remember, television is a business first and foremost.

Community may have a vocal internet community, but that doesn't necessarily translate into viewership, or at least the ones networks care about. Networks and advertisers care about the ratings. Community had the lowest ratings on the Thursday line-up, and it doesn't help that it had to face off against The Big Bang Theory. The Nielsen ratings system is used to determine the amount of viewers a show receives. Networks/advertisers care most about viewers between the age of 18-49, preferably potential consumers with jobs (not exactly college students/teenagers which are a big chunk of Community's fanbase despite the age) and buying power. That's what they're are looking for.

The problem is, the system is considered out-dated, and it doesn't necessarily represent America's viewing habits. First, you need to be part of their sample to even be counted. So if you don't have Nielsen box or survey, it doesn't matter what you watch since it won't count. It also doesn't track internet viewer demographics such as Hulu, which is still a developing medium and people are still trying to figure that out.

As I stated before, while Whitney does pretty much suck, it also has one of best ratings out of NBC's comedies. Again, this might be due to the fact that it follows the Office, so we'll see how it stacks up on Wednesday nights. And not all NBC execs are idiots, one of them even made their own "Save Community" t-shirt.

Hopefully Community will return in March.

I think that the TVGuide cover is a HUGE step toward a renewal. At the very least, it will show NBC that it's popular enough to beat out everything else among fans. At the most, the additional press coverage will encourage more people to watch, which will get the ratings up, which is what networks look at first and foremost when deciding renewal. And we're lucky that the TVGuide comes out Dec 1st, when there is a new Community ep that night, as well as the following week. We're lucky this issue doesn't come out over the hiatus.

Perhaps no cast member was more touched by the victory than Ken Jeong, who plays the deeply weird Chang. "This is something we don't take for granted," Jeong says. "I used to be a physician, and the only reason I gave that up is because I wanted to follow what I love to do. This proves to me that if you do the best you can, good things can happen."

McHale — who responded to the win with a hearty "Holy crap!" — believes the show's fan base doesn't adhere to the usual notions of TV viewers. "Our fans don't watch TV the way others do," he says. "I did a stand-up show at the University of Arizona and there were 30 kids who ran the event. I said, 'How many of you watch Community?' and they all raised their hands, which was great. I asked, 'How many watch it Thursdays at 8pm?' Zero hands. I asked, 'How many of you have TVs?' Four hands. I asked, 'How many of you watch on computers?' All hands went up. That may be an excuse, but our audience skews young. But with something like this, they vote. That's how rabid they are, so that's great."

Last episode before their hiatus. Sad face. Also, the cast (minus Chevy) stopped by to promote this episode on Joel McHale's other show, The Soup. Funny stuff, so you guys should check it out when you get a chance.
