I'm dying to try this. Does the board really work the way it's supposed to? Is it pretty sensitive? I want to know before I buy one because it's kinda pricey.

I don't know yet whether or not to get the title. I am in need to lose some weight but I don't need a game to tell me this.

Yes, the board is sensitive. Honestly, I was surprised with how well they pulled it off. I definitely recommend it--but keep in mind I am addicted, thus biased. Best wishes!

I hear that! In the long run, I figured it was cheaper than a gym membership. Also, I don't have to worry about my fat giggling in front of other people, haha (sorry to over-share).

p.s.
finals DO suck!

You realise even nintendo said that the board wasn't supposed to be for people in real need to lose weight. So if you only bought it to lose weight then you're off to a bad start. It is more of a general fitness/toning tool. for people who are already reasonably fit, but want to keep their current level of fitness or improve their balance.

honestly, if you are looking to lose weight, you are better off with a gym membership.

also, I refuse to buy one because of that fact. not to mention the space I have in my living room isn't big enough for something like this and I dislike the concept of pretending to run on a board to keep fit.

Just my two cents.

Wii Fit isn't my only form of exercise, I am active in hula dancing, belly dancing, and beginning level ballet. I also go hiking very often. I understand your point. If Wii Fit was the only thing I did it wouldn't change much. However, I did want to mention that you do not use the balance board for running; you put the wii remote in your back pocket. Thanks for your input!

I'm afraid I'd break the board with my awesome power to be affected by gravity.

I was actually surprised to learn that the balance board can handle over 300 pounds of raditude, although I weight less than half that.

I was thinking of buying WiiFit, but I'm still undecided. Games like that are hit or miss with me because games are usually just a break from whatever I'm doing in a day and not my general activity throughout the day, which is why games like super smash bros brawl appeal to me since I can just pick up and play.

I have it but I can't play it for probably another couple weeks at least because I just had a baby last week and I still have to heal...... I want to play sooo bad though. Although I do enjoy just watching my boyfriend play it.

Wii Fit is probably the only game I play daily. I am a college student, so doing some stretching or balance games help with stress. I would recommend you try it before buying it.

that guy looks pretty awkward, it's funny watching my boyfriend do it, he has a pretty fluid motion but he plays in his boxers and gets tired after a while and then it looks silly, and the super hula hoop is hilarious, he locks up going the opposite direction

Yeah, it is hilarious watching my guy friends play... I like to think that I don't look like such a buffoon when I am doing it because I take hula and belly dance classes.

I played it everyday for the first 12 days I had it, but I have finals coming up at school... thus no playing for the last two days. Super Hula Hoop is one of my favorites too!

I've gotten to play it for the last couple days but I still don't feel that I can do some of the more involved games, so I've done a couple yoga positions and a couple of the balance games, when I'm all healed up and the wii is moved downstairs where there's more room I can do strength training and stuff

hate it because I never do exercise and when I do I usally stop after 1 and a half weeks so the wii fit just tells me how fat I am.

I am sorry to hear that you do not enjoy it. I had to take a break from Wii Fit because I have two finals on Monday and a five page paper in addition to that, so I need to focus on school.

Wii Fit is extrememly fun. I enjoy the aerobic excersizes the most specifically because of the hulahoop game! It is always nice to excel at something you normally wouldn't in real life, hehe.

I like it. In fact, I think it is hilarious. It is fun, but it takes up a lot of time once you are hooked. I am looking forward to playing other games on the balance board as well.
