All things TrekCome here to discuss all things Trek. I know there are quite a few Trekkies out there, so feel free to post your thoughts. For those people who hate/dont like Trek, please dont neg mod any of us. Just leave, and let us be.
1st subject: what is your favorite series?
Mine would be Deep Space 9, mainly because it deals with a darker side or of Trek, war...poverty, and suffering. It is well written, and its the only show that has ever made me cry.... :)
enjoy

That being said, TNG was always my fav, but I think DS9 has held up better. I like serialized shows a lot more these days and the last couple seasons of DS9 had a lot of that. I think that TNG had a better ensemble cast but DS9 had a stronger storyline.
but thats just one mans option.
for me its
DS9
TNG
ENT/VOY
I havent seen TOS and TAS yet...well technically I have seen some of TOS, its old school man, but great stuff non the less.
My favorite series was TNG, probably because it is what got me started. DS9 right after that. It was better in a lot of ways including a continuous storyline which is nice, like Babylon 5.
I think that a lot of the fuel behind what made us Trekkies died out with the recent incarnations of the series. I felt that Enterprise was trying to attract too wide audience and lost a lot of it's potential due to that. And the recent movies were more action orientated and didn't take advantage of the ensemble nature of the show. I can't speak for others, but the past few years years have not made me proud to have been a Trekkie.
Yeah, i am really go for some Regenative Shields about now.
...it works on women so why not starships,
USS Enterprise in leathers: thats like some totally messed up porn
Origanal
TNG
DS9
Never really go into voyager, caught some of the eps, I could not bring myslef to watch enterpirse, it looked to good and to new, not the graphics, but the ship, the thecnologly and the other what not to be pre origanal series
I really liked DS9, I also enjoyed Voyager. Enterprise was really good the last few episodes which was ironic
What about favorite Characters??
I think Bashir is awsome!
My favorite would have to be Data. Surprise surprise. Also, this post was so horribly butchered I felt the need to correct it.
Fixed. Usually I just ignore that sort of thing, but it was really bad.
Actaully I thought the Hull Tight Shields were pretty cool in Nemesis
Just because the Romulan/Reman ships are bigger do not nesseceraly make them better. D' Daridex vs Galaxy, the Galaxy has better firepower then the D' Daridex...and even though the Scimitar was 5x bigger then the Sovereign Class (USS Enterprise E) I think Picard did a good job on holding his ship togetehr, and that the shields preformed admirably, since the Scimitar cuold fire through its Cloak, and the cloak being to perfect for even LaVorge to detect...
One of the best parts in the movie was when Picard ordered Worf to "fire all Phasers Banks, zero elevation...on my mark". Then it shows the Enterpise firing and hitting several shots on the Scimitar....then Torpedoes would follow, but they would miss...great scene.
Yea Sorry about that. I could never spell. I'll admit it.
No worries. Admitting you have a problem is the first step. I don't know what the other 11 are. So I've never solved any of my problems, but at least I know what they are.
'Full Impulse On My CMD' Lawl, I love it.
Here's an interesting trek factoid that I always thought was cool:
Denise Crosby originally auditioned for Deanna Troi and Marina Stirtis auditioned for Tasha Yar
(if you don't know why that's interesting, then you don't belong in this thread
i didnt konw that....i shuold go slap myself.
I htought Yar was pretty cool..to bad she had to die................and it was great seeing her in Sela, the Romuland Bitch from hell !!
Robert Picardo originally auditioned for Neelix
Lawl. I really couldn't picture Robert playing as the morale officer. Ironic how he played the exact opposite in the beginning of the series.
I spose I could see Robin Williams doing a kickass Neelix
My favorite show is DS9. I'm all for universal peace, but seeing the darker side of Star Trek brings it full circle for me.
Picard rocks!
