What causes you to deviate?In all honesty, what causes a person to choose an option not part of the everyday blend? What causes a person to feel the desire to rebel or go against a system?

I'm writing something that is heavy on this choice to act on rebellion in a...."perfect" society. I'm not sure I'm giving the reader the optimal reasons for wanting to go against the societal standard, and I would like some input for inspiration.
